How to Play

HexSLayer is played by 6 players. 5 computer players and one human player. Play continues in turns. Each turn, each player gets a chance to move any unmoved units and make any purchases he/she can afford. Each unit on the game board can make a single attack per turn, and each unit can only attack squares adjacent to the unit's current territory not protected in any same-color adjacent square by a equal or more powerful unit. See Unit Types for more information on the units.

Unit Powers:

  1. Villager, Village
  2. Wizard, Castle
  3. Swordsman
  4. Knight

The number of tiles you control determines your income each turn. Be careful not to purchase too many units, or upgrade units too quickly, as if you cannot afford the upkeep at the end of your turn in the territory, all of the units in a territory will be lost.

Upgrading units is simple. Drag a villager unit (from the bottom "purchase units" section, or an existing villager) onto another unit in the same territory. The unit will be upgraded 1 level.
